Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott feels as though the next step in Matt Milano's injury recovery is more mental than physical.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has consistently praised linebacker Matt Milano’s injury rehabilitation throughout the 2024 offseason, seemingly genuinely pleased with the progress he’s seen from the veteran as he recovers from a tibia fracture that prematurely ended his 2023 campaign.
“With respect to Matt, it reminds me of, you’re around injuries where it takes a year to really get themselves back, I’m not saying it’s going to take him a year, but I do think it’s him getting re-acclimated to moving at full speed, playing at full speed, and then trusting that he’s back,” McDermott said. “There’s just more than a physical competent that goes into it, and he’s working through that, and I think every day he’s gotten a little bit better.
