Visiting the area will award players with the ability to fight more optional bosses, find more NPCs, and collect items. One of the things that players can find along the Fright Cliffs area is the Buddha eyes, a collection of key items, with an obscure meaning.
Teleport to the Crash shrine in Fright Cliffs and enter the former Stone Vanguard boss room. Approach the boulder as marked on image. Image via VideoGamer. Interacting with the boulder will use all six Buddhe eyeballs on the stone. This will awaken a secret boss called the Shigandang. This is an even tougher boss than Stone Vanguard.
