Don't get caught out
A large stretch of Blackpool Promenade will shut this weekend to make way for a planned fun run. It will close between Talbot Square and Burlington Road West on Sunday, July 16 between 11am and 2.30pm.
Vehicles will not have access along the seafront main road during that time while The Blackpool Music Run takes place. Trams will be running as normal and diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Drivers are advised to plan extra time for their journey. The annual family-friendly festival, which is in its fifth year, encourages people to either run, walk or dance their way around the 10k or 5k course.
