Blackwater eyes payback against NLEX while Barangay Ginebra tries to string together its first win streak against Phoenix in the Group B of PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Friday, Sept. 6.
The Bossing are currently on a two-game winning streak and they hope to carry the momentum heading into their first assignment in the second round against the Road Warriors at 5 p.m.
One of those losses came at the hands of NLEX, which defeated Blackwater, 104-87, in their first meeting on Aug. 22. NLEX, for its part, knew full well that the game would be entirely different from the first one especially that Blackwater, back then, still had Ricky Ledo as import – something that Road Warriors head coach Jong Uichico was wary about.
