ILIGAN CITY – A National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) tower in Barangay Paiton, Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte was bombed before dawn on Thursday, September 8.
TOWER No. 14 of the Baloi-Aurora 138-KV line that toppled around 1:45 a.m.
While clearing operation was ongoing, Police Senior Master Sgt. Roselier Hangka, a member of the Ordnance and Explosives Division, picked up a Subscriber Identification Module card lying on the ground which suddenly exploded. Hangka was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead."Sad to note may isang personnel ng EOD na naputukan po ng second explosion. All the procedures are being done by our EOD personnel, however may ano lang talaga medyo disgrasya talaga ,” Vales said.
