Former Cleveland Mayor Dennis Kucinich, now seeking a return to Congress, shared a stage with his opponent's father-in-law, businessman Bernie Moreno, who is running for U.S. Senate.
Dennis Kucinich, a former Democratic U.S. congressman from Cleveland who is currently making an independent bid for the congressional seat held by GOP U.S. Rep. Max Miller of Rocky River, joined Miller's father-in-law, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, on a DC Blockchain Summit 2024 panel.WASHINGTON, D. C. – Former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich is making an independent bid to win the congressional seat currently held by Republican U.S.
Neither Kucinich nor Moreno said they found it odd to be on stage together at a time when Kucinich, a former Democrat, is running as an independent candidate against“That’s politics, isn’t it?” Moreno said when asked about doing an event with Kucinich. “We’ve got to make it more interesting.” “It’s up to the people to decide who they want to represent them,” Kucinich said, when asked about his presence at an event with Moreno. “I’m not running against anyone. I’m running for Congress as an independent. Throughout my career, I worked on both sides of the aisle. And I have friends on both sides.”, a California Republican who left Congress in 2019 after 30 years in office. Federal Election Commission records indicate Kucinich has paid her New Hampshire-based firm more than $30,000.
