It’s tough to upstage the Carters, but their daughter, Blue Ivy, has managed it more than once.
Blue Ivy appears in “Date Night”, part of Tiffany & Co.’s About Love campaign, which captures Mr and Mrs Carter in a series of romantic interludes. This latest is inspired by one of the most famous scenes from, and finds Beyoncé cruising through Manhattan in the back of a Rolls-Royce, to the strains of Paul Anka’s “Put Your Head on my Shoulder”, before she and Jay share a pizza and a glass of Armand de Brignac champagne.
Naturally, the jewellery in the playful, retro-effect film is epic. The couple wears a series of Jean Schlumberger pieces, including the Bird on a Rock brooch, worn by Jay-Z, and Beyoncé’s Ailsa diamond ring, which is over 10 carats. She also wears a pair of Ribbon Fan earrings featuring diamonds of over six total carats – just the thing for a feast of pizza and bubbles.
Blue Ivy – who beams as she joins her parents in the back seat of their Rolls in the film – has alreadyfor her efforts in her mother’s “Brown Skin Girl” video, which was named Best Music Video at this year’s ceremony. Her verse on the track also made her the youngest artist to debut on the Billboard chart – at the ripe old age of seven. Now that she has a Tiffany campaign under her belt, too, we can likely expect more screen appearances from this burgeoning superstar.
