To meet our design criteria, we devised a two-alternative, forced-choice task in which our participants made judgements about which one of two images was a photograph of a full-scale scene and which was a small scale model. . In 2AFC, as defined by Green and Swets [], there is ground truth, and the results provide an objective performance measure that relates to the observer’s sensitivity to the target which is randomly allocated to one of the two response intervals.
