CASTLE ROCK — With Day 2 of the 2024 BMW Championship in the books, here’s a look at a few of the top wow moments and a few of the uglier moments from Castle Pines Golf Club.
• Xander Schauffele, No. 2 in the FedExCup rankings, didn’t have the best day by carding 1-over. But he produced a highlight via a 47-foot birdie putt on the 11th hole. The putt was downhill, but Schauffele’s stroke was perfectly placed and directly on line.• Rory McIlroy’s frustration simmered over during a round that left him tied for 15th at 3-under. After a three-putt for bogey on the 16th in which he missed a 17-inch par putt, his drive on the 17th went 294 yards into the rough.
