A man and a woman were arrested after the crash
The crash occurred just before 7pm on Tuesday, September 12, between a black BMW and a blue Ford Focus at the junction of Sutton Road and Marshalls Cross Road in St Helens. The driver and passengers in the Blue Ford Focus suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.
The driver of the black BMW hid a package of suspected Class A drugs in a bush nearby before leaving the scene in a black Ford Mondeo that arrived to collect him. A 36-year-old man from St Helens later returned to the scene where he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.He was taken to a police station in Merseyside and has now been bailed.
