Cambridge did the double over Oxford last year, and leads its rival in both the men's and women's all-time series record
Cambridge won the double over Oxford in 2023, with a sixth successive win for its women’s team, and extended its lead over its bitter rivals in the all-time record to 86-81 in the men’s series and 47-30 for the women’s series. It has led organisers to arrange for decontamination stations to be placed at the end of the race, with Oxford coach Sean Bowden deeming the situation “a national disgrace.”The 2024 Boat Race men’s event is due to begin at 3:46pm UK time on Saturday 30 March, with the women’s race starting an hour earlier, at 2:46pm.
Two reserve races are scheduled in between the main events and are due to get going at 3:01pm and 3:16pm .The Boat Race will be streamed live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website, with coverage starting at 2pm UK time.
