Bobby Moore's family is initiating legal action to retrieve his missing 1966 World Cup shirt, valued at £1 million, which has been missing for 30 years. The focus is on Neville Evans, a motorbike tycoon and co-author of a book on England's football jerseys.
Bobby Moore 's family is taking legal action to recover his missing 1966 World Cup shirt, The Sun can reveal. The shirt was last seen in the attic of Tina and Bobby Moore 's home in Chigwell, Essex, in the 1990s. While there is no suggestion that Neville Evans , the motorbike tyre tycoon and co-author of 'Three Lions on a Shirt: The Official History of the England Football Jersey,' acquired the shirt illegally, he is suspected of holding it.
Tina Moore, who was married to Bobby from 1962 to 1986, has said that her lawyers recommend urgent court proceedings against Evans. Collection curator Simon Shakeshaft, who was said to be too ill to answer the door, and co-author Daren Burney have remained silent on the matter
