The young forward will join Alloa Athletic on loan after committing his long-term future to the Rugby Park side.
Derek McInnes has agreed to send the Scottish youth striker out to get first-team experience. McInnes has spoken at length with Brian Rice and believes that Wales will get the game time and exposure his development needs with the Wasps. Rice has been keen on the 18-year-old for several weeks but Killie wouldn’t sanction a move until he signed a new long-term contract.
Killie announced that Wales has signed a deal that will keep him at Rugby Park until the summer of 2025. Alloa have agreed terms with the Rugby Park club and will push through a deal before the lower league loan window closes. Rice has already moved to sign striker Ally Roy from East Kilbride in a similar loan deal for the season. The 26-year-old has taken the chance to return to the senior ranks after his spell in the Lowland League.
Alloa are looking for the pair to fire the team up the league and into the promotion and play-off positions. The pair are in line to make their debuts at home to Edinburgh City in Saturday's League One meeting.
