Incredibly sad news to report
A body believed to be that of missing Ilkeston woman Sarah Henshaw has been found in a layby in Derbyshire. The 31-year-old was last seen at her home on Norman Street at around 9pm on Tuesday, June 20.
A murder investigation was launched on Sunday by Derbyshire Police, with a man being arrested in connection with the case. He remains in police custody. On Monday, the force said they had found a body of a woman which is believed to be Ms Henshaw at a layby off the westbound carriageway of the A617, close to junction 29 of the M1 near Chesterfield.
Officers remain keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of a blue Ford Transit van, registration beginning YP16, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, around the area of J29 of the M1 and the A617 towards Chesterfield. Anyone who has any information that may assist the police investigation is asked to contact the force by calling 101 or via its official website or Facebook and Twitter accounts, quoting incident number 444 of June 23.
