The North Macedonian international has been a huge hit in the Granite City, scoring 44 goals in 98 matches.
Bojan Miovski has officially completed his switch from Aberdeen to Girona - with the Dons receiving a reported club record fee of close to £7million for their star number nine.
Pittodrie boss Jimmy Thelin is set to reinvest the huge transfer windfall with the signing of HJK winger Topi Keskinen, but may now look for a direct replacement for Miovski to challenge the likes of Ester Sokler, Pape Habib Gueye and Peter Ambrose for a starting berth up front. “The deal is also a good one for the club and further strengthens the player trading strategy adopted and driven by Dave Cormack and the board over a number of seasons. This model means a club will plan to invest much more each season in football wages and transfer fees compared to what it brings in as income from the likes of season tickets, hospitality and retail.
“Our focus remains on developing our own players through our academy whilst complimenting that with smart recruitment from across the world, with the aim of driving football success to Aberdeen FC.
