Police and EOD teams swarmed a property in Banavie Road today at around 12.05pm on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023.Police swarmed the area todayDetectives have now confirmed the items have been removed and are “no risk” to the public because they were “inert”. It comes after crews were pictured taping off the area as investigations were carried out this afternoon.Police and bomb squads investigated the areaspokesperson said:"Around 12.05pm on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023, police were called to a property in Banavie Road, Glasgow, following the discovery of suspected ordnance in a back garden.
"EOD attended and confirmed the device was inert, posed no risk to the public and removed it from the garden."Shortly afterwards a second item, suspected to be ordnance, was discovered within the property. "The cordon was put back in place until EOD returned to examine the item, which was confirmed as inert and removed from the property.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:"At 1.32pm on Tuesday, September 12, operations control was called to assist emergency service partners at an incident on Banavie Road, Glasgow and mobilised two appliances to the scene."
