The magical world of Harry Potter has just expanded with the launch of Harry Potter : Wizards of Baking on Amazon Prime Video, featuring a special appearance by actress Bonnie Wright. Bonnie Wright, who played the role of Ginny Weasley in the film series, will be evaluating the contestants' creations and sharing some of her cherished memories from the film sets. Born in London, the 33-year-old actress made her debut in the Harry Potter films and has since gained recognition for her environmental activism. As the second child of Sheila Teague and Gary Wright, owners of the jewellery company Wright & Teague, Bonnie developed a passion for filmmaking while growing up on the Harry Potter sets. Interestingly, her elder brother had read the first two books in the series and remarked that she reminded him of Ginny Weasley, prompting Bonnie to ask her mother if she could audition 'on a whim', despite having no prior professional experience. She was just nine years old when she first appeared in the Philosopher's Stone. In 2012, Bonnie founded her own film production company, BonBonLumiere, and has since directed several projects, further solidifying her connection to the world of filmmaking. The former Harry Potter star, who relocated to San Diego, was once betrothed to Jamie Campbell Bower, her colleague from the magical franchise.
