Boots to cut more than 4,000 jobs due to impact of coronavirus on shops

Its retail sales have tumbled by 48 per cent over the past three months, while its opticians business saw sales dive by 72 per cent compared to the same quarter last year. It will also affect some deputy and assistant manager, beauty adviser and customer adviser roles across its stores.Some are standalone opticians, while others are located inside larger Boots stores or supermarkets.
