BREAKING: Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds announce birth of 'healthy baby boy'
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds have welcomed their first child together A spokeswoman for the Prime Minister and his partner said both mother and baby are ‘doing very well’ after the birth in a London hospital on Wednesday morning.
The spokeswoman said: ‘The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well.It is not currently known if he will take 10 days off for paternity leave, but Dominic Raab will face Keir Starmer in today’s Prime Ministers Questions.
The couple revealed they were expecting a baby and their engagement in the same announcement on February 29.Ms Symonds, 31, shared the news on Instagram, along with a picture of her and the prime minister. It read: ‘I wouldn’t normally post this kind of thing on here but I wanted my friends to find out from me.
‘Many of you already know but for my friends that still don’t, we got engaged at the end of last year… and we’ve got a baby hatching early summer.’
