Boris Johnson's dad Stanley says UK 'on right track' in Covid-19 fight

THE Prime Minister's dad has claimed the UK is on "the right track" in fighting the coronavirus pandemic - but has insisted the over-70s should not have to face tougher shielding measures.

Stanley Johnson, who turns 80 in August, told the newspaper: "We are living in a time of great uncertainty and nobody quite knows what the impact is or what the disease is or what to do. Mr Johnson has previously said he wants lockdown eased for over 70's so he can climb Kilimanjaro to raise funds to protect the Asian Elephant.
