'I believed we should have done something different.' Boris Johnson used a conference speech in London today to attack the Northern Ireland Brexit deal which Rishi Sunak announced in Windsor on Monday. GaryGibbonC4 reports.
Sue Gray, the civil servant who led the inquiry into Boris Johnson’s lockdown-busting parties at Number 10 has been offered a new job as Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff.But it hasn’t gone down well with Mr Johnson’s allies who said it showed that partygate was a “manufactured scandal designed to bring down a Brexit backing prime minister”.
All this came after the former prime minister publicly criticised Rishi Sunak’s Northern Ireland deal – saying it was “not about the UK taking back control”.
