The council behind the tourist attraction which has been dubbed ‘the worst inThe Marble Arch Mound, designed by world-leading architects, opened to the public last week to a huge amount of criticism.
People paying £6.50 to see the 25-metre artificial grass hill compared it to the one in The Teletubbies andNow Stuart Love, the £210,000-a-year chief executive at the Conservative-led Westminster City Council, has apologised. He said: ‘We wanted to open the mound in time for the summer holidays and we did not want to disappoint people who had already booked tickets.He added it was ‘going to look great and be an amazing experience once we’ve got it going’.
