A former company manager has shared the hidden test that he used to determine a candidate's worth
Many people would agree that interviewing for a job can be an extremely stressful task, and can sometimes be worse than the first day on the job. It isn't only about the experience you have for the position, but also about how you come across as a whole to the company - and the person interviewing you.
The former manager relied on this method so much that he would even blacklist people from the company if they failed the hidden test. Trent, who was a former boss at Zero Australia but left in September 2021, shared this trick when speaking on business podcast, The Venture, alongside entrepreneur Lambros Photios.
"You can develop skills, you can gain knowledge and experience but it really does come down to attitude, and the attitude that we talk a lot about is the concept of 'wash your coffee cup'." "It's really just making sure that they're actually going to fit into the culture inside Xero, and really take on everything that they should be doing."
