Botany Bay owners agree to council compromises in a bid to move plans move forward
The company behind plans to redevelop the Botany Bay site have agreed to pay £186,000 to improve cycle and pedestrian access.
Separate plans, which are yet to receive planning permission, could also see a roof terrace added to the original mill building which will be converted to house modern offices and self-storage facilities. A new block will be erected next to it with multi-story parking, a sports facility and a helipad and hangar.
A separate £8,000 payment will also be required towards the County Council Travel Planning Scheme. This will be used to provide a range of services including the development and monitoring of a travel plan, the creation of maps and leaflets outlining sustainable travel information, and to help stage promotional events such as "walk to work week".
