That’s slightly less than the $62.5M debut of 2020’s Bad Boys for Life but a notch above the $46M collected by Michael Bay’s Bad Boys II in 2003 .
To put this opening in perspective, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has already earned as much as Furiosa and will likely surpass The Fall Guy by next week — so much for sequel fatigue. This week, Pixar releases Inside Out 2, the sequel to its 2015 hit. That film grossed $850M worldwide. Many analysts believe the sequel will hit the bullseye with $80M, placing the animated comedy among Pixar’s Top 10 openers. Has the box office finally gotten back on track?1.)
