Temperatures dropped to around freezing last night in northern parts of Britain, while temperatures down south remained at a mild 10C overnight. Snow and ice are expected in Scotland today, with the Met Office putting a yellow weather warning in place from until 6pm tomorrow night. It comes as forecasters warned of an Arctic Blast that could bring temperatures as low as -11C later this month, similar to the weather system dubbed ‘Beast From the East’ that hit the country in 2018.
