Schoolboy dies after collapsing on school field as onlookers battled to save him
Emergency services raced to a Shropshire school around 4pm on Friday after reports a 12-year-old boy had dropped to the ground.Onlookers were said to be battling to save him while paramedics scrambled to Dawley's Telford Langley School.
When the ambulances arrived they tried to revive the boy, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "West Midlands Ambulance Service alerted us that they were responding to a medical emergency involving a child at a school in Telford. "Tragically the child died in hospital that afternoon. His death isn't being treated as suspicious. The thoughts of all of us are with his family and friends."
