The teenager entered his plea to the single count on Wednesday, April 3
A 13-year-old Nottingham boy has appeared in court to deny murdering a man near a skatepark in the city centre. Dressed in a white shirt and a tie, the teenager pleaded not guilty to the single charge when he appeared from custody at Nottingham Crown Court.
Remanding both teens into custody, Judge Nirmal Shant KC, Honorary Recorder of Nottingham, said: “There is likely to be a further hearing before that date but I cannot give you that date today. Your solicitors will let you know when that next hearing is.”24-year-old Jack, from the Ashfield area, suffered “significant” head injuries after being attacked near Sussex Street Skate Park, just yards from the courthouse where the duo appeared this week, at around 6.
A 16-year-old girl, who also cannot be named due to her age, was arrested on Saturday in connection with the incident and has been charged with robbery. "We would still like to hear from anyone who feels they may have information that could assist our ongoing investigation, and who hasn’t already come forward. Any information, no matter how small or insignificant you may think it may seem, could prove to be crucial to our inquiries.”
