When British Transport police arrested the child, they found an an 8” kitchen knife in the waistband of his trousers as well as a hammer in his bag. A statement on the British Transport Police social media commended the actions of the staff who restrained the boy and said that enquiries are ongoing. The statement reads: "A 14-year old child punched a member of railstaff to the side of the head, very hard, at Lancaster. Excellent job by staff in restraining the boy, who was quickly arrested by us.Read Next:
