Boy, 16, 'raped 10-year-old girl on her way home from school and left her for dead in a Devon stream'
Updated: 25th February 2019, 11:48 pm A BOY aged 16 raped a ten-year-old girl as she walked home from school before leaving her for dead in a stream, a court heard today. The teen, who can't legally be named, allegedly grabbed the schoolgirl by the throat from behind and dragged her into the water in Devon.
"She hoped that whoever it was who had hold of her neck might just give up and leave her. "When she pretended that was what was happening to her, she did fade away. "She can remember nothing from that point until she came to in the stream." Jurors were told how a woman walking past heard "panicked yelling" from the girl as she shouted out for a teacher.
