Harrowing moment boy 'nearly drowns' after sinking underwater for two minutes in a hot tub while his ‘mum got high on drink and drugs’
But video taken at the Perry's Ocean Edge Resort in Daytona Beach Shores shows one the two boys running back to the hot tub with their mother nowhere to be seen.
One of them goes into the water and the horrifying footage shows him going under after a few seconds.the boy was underwater for two minutes and video show the adults in the hot tub oblivious to what’s going on. Luckily a woman employee was watching the surveillance footage in the lobby and radioed for assistance, police said.The youngster began to breathe on his own and was transported to Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando, Daytona Beach Shores police said.
A pill was found and Connolly admitted to throwing it away and later revealed she consumed alcohol, marijuana, oxycodone and Suboxone prior to the incident.She was charged with felony child neglect and destruction of evidence and is being held without bail.The incident took place at the Perry's Ocean Edge Resort in Daytona Beach Shores
