Sunbathers, including families with children, watched in horror as lifeguards went into the sea to rescue the boy whose body was spotted floating in the water.His heartbroken mother then realised her 29-year-old husband was also missing and a major search was launched, with a police helicopter landing on the beach of Riells de L'Escala in Girona.As the search continued, it was revealed that the boy had died.
