A young boy has died after he was found in River Thames today.
Daniel Alaby, five, went missing from his home and was later found in the Thames A boy has died in hospital after he was found in River Thames following a search for him. An urgent police appeal was launched to find Daniel Alaby, five, on Friday. He had gone missing from his home in Thamesmead, south-east London, with police saying he was ‘last seen playing in his room’. At 6.23pm officers looking for Daniel pulled a child out of the river, the Met Police confirmed.
His family have been made aware and they are being supported by officers. At this early stage, no evidence suggests that any other person was involved, the force said. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances. Anyone who may have seen Daniel on Friday is asked to call police on 101 or post on social media @MetCC ref 4592/29MAR24.
