Young boy stabbed by stranger in 'random attack' as cops launch manhunt
A STRANGER who stabbed a nine-year-old boy in a random street attack is being hunted by police.
The man ran off after stabbing the youngster, who waking with his brother on Peveril Road, Peterborough on Saturday afternoonThe suspect is described as tall, skinny, scruffy and of Asian appearance, and after the horrific attack then ran off in the direction of Lincoln Road. The boy was taken to hospital by air ambulance and the road where the attack happened has been sealed off.He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Sergeant Jason Hancock said: “It is believed the boy was walking along the street with his older brother when a man approached them and attacked the victim. “The offender is described as an Asian man who was tall, skinny, scruffy in appearance with black short-to-medium length messy hair and was wearing black jogging bottoms and a big coat. He ran off in the direction of Lincoln Road.
