Emergency services were raced to Costock Avenue, Sherwood after reports an eight-year-old boy had fallen.The force said in a statement: 'Paramedics had responded to the scene after a child had been reported to have fallen from the window of a house.
Chief Inspector Jon Scurr tonight said: 'This is a tragic and devastating loss of life and our thoughts are with the boy's family and loved ones. 'We are acutely aware that incidents of this nature are incredibly distressing for all concerned, and are felt by the entire community.
