A phone, silver chain and coins stolen were taken by the gang
Police said the victim was approached by four people on the Esplanade on Monday . Officers were called to reports of a robbery at 6.16pm.
Three boys, two aged 15 and one aged 14, have since been arrested on suspicion of robbery and they remain in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police. "It was reported that a teenage boy had been approached by four people, one of who had a knife, and had a phone, a silver chain and coins taken from him. Following enquiries, three boys – two aged 15 and one aged 14 - were arrested today on suspicion of robbery and are currently in custody.
