Emergency services rush to the scene after the incident south of Wollongong this afternoon.
abc.net.au/news/boy-struck-by-lightning-warilla-beach-wollongong/101897616The boy was hit by lightning while swimming at Warrilla Beach at Barrack Point, near Shellharbour.Emergency services arrived at the scene about 5:25pm.
Paramedics at the scene treated the boy for burns to his chest before he was taken to Westmead children's hospital by road.
