Kian Dawson-Kirk was one of two young Derry cousins who sadly died following Co Donegal car crash
A Derry schoolboy who died following a crash in Co Donegal that also claimed the life of his older cousin was a "character" who "touched the lives of many with his kindness, his laughter, and his spirit".
Fr O'Donnell invited family members to bring forward symbols of Kian's life, including a photograph of the schoolboy, a White Hart Lane sign, a Derry City shirt signed by all the players, and a pendant from his own football club Don Boscos. "Kian's life, though brief, was full of love, joy, and light. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, his laughter and his spirit. These memories are the treasures that remain with us forever. The words of Jesus remind us that we are never truly seperated from those we love. The bonds that we share, the love that we have for Kian, transcend even the finality of death. We may not be able to hold him in our arms any more but we can hold him in our hearts.
