Arthur has signed a new one-year contract with the Rhinos.
Leeds boss Brad Arthur signed his new deal for next season but insisted: “We’re still fighting this year.” The Aussie coach, who arrived in July initially until the end of the campaign, has agreed a new 12-month deal for 2025.
He said: “I said I’d only stay if I felt I could make a difference and I do. I’d been doing some rough pencilling in around what pre-season will look like. We’ll be putting some time in to make sure we get pre-season right, train hard and long and learn to be resilient. But we’ve still got a big job to do for the rest of this year so we’re not taking our eyes off that.
Leeds are eighth after their Magic Weekend loss versus Warrington, four points behind the top-six with just five games to go. But they are still in the hunt - just - and could narrow the deficit with fifth-placed Catalans to only two points if they beat the crisis-torn French club tonight. Leeds’ attacking options are improved with the return of ex-Man of Steel Brodie Croft who missed Magic after returning home to Australia for his grandfather’s funeral.
