Guibert collaborated with director Amy Berg, who shared her vision for a documentary that honored Buckley's life and legacy. The documentary also aims to dispel misconceptions surrounding Buckley's death in 1997, when he drowned in a Memphis river. Berg refutes rumors of an overdose, stating that Buckley's death was a tragic accident.
