Brahim Diaz gave Real Madrid the lead against RB Leipzig in fine fashion.
The Champions League returned on Tuesday night as Spanish La Liga giants Madrid travelled to the Red Bull Arena Leipzig to take on the German Bundesliga outfit.
After a cagey first half in which Leipzig had a goal ruled out by VAR for offside, the teams went into the break 0-0.After receiving the ball from Dani Carvajal, the Spaniard turned away from one defender before slaloming his way into the penalty area and unleashing an unstoppable drive into the back of Peter Gulacsi’s net. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said: “Bellingham picked up a sprained ankle, they'll assess him tomorrow. I hope we can have him fit for Tuesday. There are games he hasn't been involved in and others have come in and contributed a lot, like Brahim and Joselu. We broke records for injuries today with four centre-backs out.
