Bramhall’s Village Square car park is set to close for up to 12 months in spring 2025 due to essential water quality improvement work by United Utilities (UU). The work, part of a £5.9m investment, aims to reduce the number of times combined storm overflow systems release untreated sewage into Micker Brook. While the car park is closed, drivers will be directed to the nearby Meadway car park. Traders in Village Square express concerns about the potential impact of the closure on footfall and business.
