Tennent's Lager has returned with a brand new advert paying tribute to the well-used phrase in Scotland 'Oooft', and it's all soundtracked by Glasgow legend Lulu's iconic track Shout.
Tennent's Lager has released a new advert paying tribute to a classic Scottish phrase - and soundtracked with a song by a Glasgow legend.
Heroing the phrase 'Oooft' - and their usefulness in situations good and bad - the advert opens with a blast of pop icon Lulu’s iconic song Shout. Setting the scene, we then see the entrance of a pal joining his friends at the pub, showing up proudly with a freshly cut mullet. The reaction is mixed: a bemused and an impressed “oooft”.
“Amongst the wide variety of ‘Ooofts’ in the ad - from cracking goals, to questionable fashion choices - we wanted to show that Tennent’s offers the very best OOOFT possible and one that’s uniquely ours. “We’re made with soft Highland water, the best Scottish barley, and always brewed in Scotland for a cracking pint every time. We’re ready to tell that story with confidence, and OOOFT heroes that first satisfying sip of a cold, crisp and fresh Tennent’s.”
