Outfielder Brandon Nimmo exited Sunday’s game with right shoulder discomfort in a potential injury concern just hours after the Mets
He was then replaced in left field by Jeff McNeil at the start of the eighth inning of their 3-2 loss to end their weekend series against the Marlins.Brandon Nimmo finished his at-bat after fouling a pitch off in the seventh inning, but he exited at the start of the eighth on Aug. 18.Earlier in the game, Nimmo gave the Mets a temporary lead with his 18th homer of the season, and he also drew a walk.
Facing Valente Bellozo on Sunday, Nimmo found a way to add to his numbers in each of those categories.
