Meghan Markle has been snubbed by the fashion industry despite her well-documented ability to lift sales for the brands she wears.

Entertainment journalist Kinsey Schofield believes brands are steering clear of Meghan and Prince Harry because of the “toxicity associated with their brand”.“A stylist in LA said, ‘over my body would I connect Meghan with my high-profile couture clients.’”

Famously, she gave Australian heritage brand Oroton a lifeline when she carried one of their bags during a royal engagement in 2018. Meghan Markle helped bankrupt Aussie label Oroton by wearing a bag from the brand. The socialite has since appeared in advertising campaigns and walked the runway for the Italian company.
