The report describes it as"a blended, grounded genre drama, the new series also is being compared to The Twilight ZoneIt is said to be set in our world while putting a tweak on it, focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way".
Before creating the two crime epics, Gilligan got his start writing in TV for The X-Files, having written 30 episodes for that show, including the 1998 episode 'Drive', which starred none other than Bryan Cranston. Deadline reports that Gilligan will be presenting his new show in the coming weeks, with at least eight or nine networks and streaming platforms lined up to hear his pitch.Gilligan also directed episodes of The X-Files, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, as well as the Breaking Bad movie, El Camino, which arrived as a Netflix original in 2019.Share article
