Bryan Cranston as Walter White in Breaking Bad
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Breaking Bad enters the world of medieval fantasy in a strange AI video. Created by Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad first aired on AMC in 2008, introducing audiences to Bryan Cranston's Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who becomes a drug kingpin after receiving a terminal diagnosis. The show, which concluded in 2013 after five acclaimed seasons, was set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, firmly in the modern day.
The video features Walt wearing a wizard's robes and hat, and even puts a medieval twist on one of his classic lines when the AI creation says: "I am the one who smites." Other characters in the video include Jesse, Walt Jr., Saul Goodman, Skinny Pete, Skyler, Jane, Tuco, Hank, and even Hector Salamanca as a king.
Since the Better Call Saul finale in 2022, no new projects in the world of Breaking Bad have moved forward. In October 2023, Gilligan said of the franchise that he's wary of returning to the same well too many times and that he'd like to "leave it be" for the time being. He also says in the same interview, however, to "never say never."
