GMP statement: Police called to suspected shooting at the pub

Pictures show an area outside of The Nags Head on Lostock Road in Urmston taped off. The cordon stretches around a section of the beer garden and around a paved area next to the pub.

According to eyewitnesses, it has been in place since the early hours of this morning . GMP have confirmed officers were called to reports of a shooting.A GMP statement said: "At around 11.30pm last night Greater Manchester Police received a report of a suspected firearms discharge at a premises on Lostock Road, Urmston.

"Officers attended the scene and found damage to a window of a property. Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether or not the damage was caused by a firearm, but a scene remains in place whilst officers continue their enquiries."
