Sunnier and breezy across Texas Tuesday. High fire danger to the south and west. Tracking rain this weekend.
AUSTIN, Texas — After this weekend's cloudy, muggy, and stormy conditions, the weather on Tuesday feels quite miraculous here in Central Texas. Tuesday's sunshine is abundant, as low pressure heads east, and high pressure settles in for the rest of the week. However, the nice conditions do come with an uptick in breezy weather. And because we did not receive a drought-busting rain Monday night, many places across central and south Texas are still left on the drier side.
Locally, in the KVUE viewing area, our fire weather danger is not as extreme, but Tuesday night through Thursday, the Texas A&M Forest Service has moved a portion of the Hill Country into the"high" fire outlook category. On Wednesday and Thursday Mason, Llano, and Gillespie County will be discouraged from outdoor burning due to the same overarching weather conditions; low humidity, breezy winds, warm temperatures, and dry vegetation.
