A cold front will move through the Susquehanna Valley over the next few hours, bringing a few light showers, but the rain won't amount much more than a few hundredths of an inch. Behind the front, isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Look for a mix of clouds and sunshine, with highs in the upper 60s.
Tonight, if winds relax and the sky clears, temperatures could drop to the 30s again. A Freeze Watch is in effect for Mifflin, Union, Snyder, and Northumberland Counties from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Thursday. The watch may be expanded later today, so be sure to cover or bring in sensitive plants. Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies, as high pressure builds overhead. Highs will be cooler, near 60 degrees. Sunshine continues Friday, with highs in the mid-60s.
